Core Values

Core Values – Core values answer the question, “How do we want to act, consistent with our mission, along the path toward achieving our vision?”  They describe how pursuing the vision of Connecting to Christ, Community, Serving and Others is lived everyday.

 Connecting To The Bible The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God and we are committed to explaining its life-changing message in a relevant and authentic way for its hearers.  For more on what we believe about God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Salvation, etc. please take a look at our What We Believe information.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12; Acts 2:42

 Connecting To Family Life  The home is the best place for life-long discipleship and the application of biblical truths. What happens at home can make or break what God has been teaching us.  Someone once said, “Strong families make strong churches.”

Joshua 24:14; Psalm 113:9; Proverbs 17:6; Psalm 34:11; Ephesians 5:22-33; Ephesians 6:1-4;

 Connecting To Excellence  We desire excellence that honors God, inspires people, is spiritually authentic and culturally relevant.  Excellence is also recognized in that every believer is called by God to be faithful in honoring the Lord with our time, our talent, and our treasure.

Colossians 3:17; Malachi 1:6-14; Proverbs 27:17; 2 Corinthians 9:11; 1 Timothy 6:18

 Connecting To Leadership  Healthy churches are led by those with leadership gifts according to the mission and strategy of the church.  To maintain a healthy church it is the responsibility of the leaders and members to develop biblically qualified leaders and to follow their leadership as it agrees with the Word of God.

Romans 12:8; 1 Timothy 3; 1 Peter 5:1-3; Hebrews 13:17

 Connecting To Christ  Every believer should mature into a disciple that leads into full devotion to Christ which is normal for every believer.  Discipleship is kept alive through maintaining a healthy balanced strategy along with continual progression through the connection process.

Matthew 22:37; Colossians 1:10-14; 1 Timothy 4:15-16; 2 Timothy 3:12-15; Ephesians 5:1-2

 Connecting To Community  Accountability, belonging, care and spiritual growth happen best when authentic relationships permeate every aspect of body life to fulfill the mission and strategy of the church in a safe and practical environment.  This kind of support is at its greatest when nurtured in Biblically functioning communities.  Community Groups are provided to meet the various needs of all our people in a safe and practical environment.

Acts 2:44-47; Ephesians 4:25-32; Hebrews 12:1; 1 Corinthians 13; Nehemiah 3

 Connecting To Serving  Every believer has been given a spiritual gift(s) by God that are intended to be used as a functioning member of the body of Christ to build up other believers and bring salvation to the lost in the community that we live in.

Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12

 Connecting To Others  We primarily exist for those not yet in the body of Christ.  Lost people matter to God, and therefore they matter to us.  We will not be afraid to make changes to impact and attract the lost world to Christ.

Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Romans 5:8
