Our vision at Four Mile Run Christian Church can be found in our discipleship process that is constantly developing Christ followers through all stages of life. We exist to Connect people to Christ, to Community, to Serving and to Others.

After completing our connections process it is our desire to create settings where disciples are challenged and equipped to Connect To Christ, Community, Serving and Others.  We believe to be a healthy disciple you need to actively participate in the following settings:

  • WORSHIP Through everyday worship disciples focus on God and grow in their relationship with Christ.  Matthew 22:37-39
  • LEADAs disciples learn the truth of God’s Word they are able to apply biblical principles to their lifestyle, so that their lifestyle will honor Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8; James 1:22
  • COMMUNITY Disciples help each other face life’s problems by providing the support and encouragement of other Christ followers through a Community Group environment. Acts 2:44-47
  • SERVANTHOODDisciples discover and develop their spiritual gifts and use them in serving others. Romans 12:1-8

We Believe in one God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 5:16, 45; 6:1, 4, 8, 9; James 1:17 / John 1:1; 14:9 / Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; 2 Peter 1:21)

We Believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible.  (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)

We Believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, my one and only Savior, (John 1:14; 1 John 4:9 / John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:18)

Who was born Jesus of Nazareth, both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,  (Matthew 21:11; John 19:19 / John 1:14; Romans 5:15-17; Colossians 2:9; 1 John 1:1 / Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:26-38)

Who died for our sins and was buried, and Who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day, (Luke 23:44 – 24:8; John 20:24-29; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

Who ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father, Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1) and Who will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
(Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11; 10:39-42; 1 Peter 4:5)

We Believe in the Holy Spirit, Who is an active and operative part of the triune God, (John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27) and Who indwells every Christian.  (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14)

We Believe in the Bible and God’s Holy Word, Scripture. We believe God inspired the autographs (original writings) of the Scripture and those autographs were consequently without error.  (Mark 12:36; John 14:26; 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
(Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12)

We Believe the Bible teaches that every person has worth, is created by God, and willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.  (Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)

We Believe the Bible teaches that salvation and the forgiveness of sins are achieved only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7)

We Believe the Bible teaches that one receives God’s grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, and being immersed into Christ for the forgiveness of sins, but that none of these is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation.
(Romans 5:1-2 / Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9 / Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11; 1 John 4:15 / Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)

We Believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to reach the lost and disciple the saved.  (Ephesians 4:1-16)

We Believe the Bible teaches that the Elders are to exercise authority over the local congregation.   (Acts 20:28; Philippians 1:1; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)

Every Sunday, we offer two services. The first service at 8:30am features traditional hymns and a Grand Piano / Organ accompaniment for you to worship alongside. The second service at 10:30am features modern choruses and songs led by a modern worship team which aims to deepen your connection to Jesus.
Below you can find the weekly setlist for our second service:
At Four Mile Run, we believe that ministering to the entire family is the most effective way to raise up our young people and adults to be strong and healthy Christians. We offer a broad spectrum of programming that caters to the entire family!
In one week, parents will normally spend more time with their children than ministers or church volunteers will spend with those children in an entire year. Because of this, we are putting our focus on getting discussions about God and faith to be happening primarily at home rather than only at church.
We encourage you to set aside time during your week to pray as a family, to talk about God, to go through scripture, and to discuss how these things matter to you. If that sounds a little uncomfortable and you aren’t sure where to start, don’t worry. We would love to help you get started! Just ask.
AGES – Birth through 5th Grade
We offer some great opportunities for your children to learn and grow with others at Four Mile Run Christian Church. Whether it’s Sunday School Classes tailored to their specific age range or Junior Church which is a great time worshiping and learning about Jesus on their age level or just hanging out with other kids at fun activities around the calendar year, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and engage in with our Four Mile Run Junior Program.
AGES – 6th Grade – 12 Grade & Young Adults
Your student / young adult faces a lot of challenges as they grow and the best thing you as their parent can do for them is make sure they have a great anchor for their faith in Jesus. Every Sunday at 9:30am and every Wednesday at 6:00pm, our students gather to learn and have fun with each other. Our students also visit the Christ in Youth Conference every summer and they are involved in service projects and fun outings (tubing, water sports, bowling, hiking, etc) throughout the calendar year.
AGES – Everyone
We understand that it is impossible for us to do life alone. Jesus never meant for us to try and tackle it that way. We also understand that as a church grows larger, it has to grow smaller at the same time. That’s why in Fall 2019, we’re launching a brand new slate of Community groups. These smaller group settings will allow you to engage in conversation with others as you share life together. Whether it’s praying for each other, having a great time experiencing life together or deepening your walk with Christ through the power of accountability, there’s something in our groups for you!
